Hibrisol (Spain) is a European company specializing in sunflower breeding. Most of the year, there is selection, as we plant one generation after another without a break throughout the year.
The combination of a young and experienced team with high qualifications makes it possible to develop different projects for high-oleic sunflower and regular oil sunflower.
The main goal of our breeding efforts is to achieve high yield, top quality, and enhanced resistance/tolerance to rust, white and gray rot, sunflower downy mildew, sunflower broomrape, Phomopsis, and many other diseases. We are enhancing drought and high-temperature resilience, enabling cultivation in extreme weather conditions.
We are developing lines and hybrids with high oleic content in the oil and natural resistance to imidazolinones (IMI) and sulfonylurea (SURES) herbicides.
With our wealth of knowledge and unwavering dedication, we have successfully bred exceptional hybrids that are in demand worldwide.
We have invested considerable effort in obtaining sunflower lines and hybrids resistant to broomrape (Orobanche cernua), and we have achieved success in this area.
